14 Bergère Experience” tells the story of a Parisian architectural treasure built at the end of the 19th century for the activities of a bank that was a forerunner of BNP Paribas and whose use has been constantly reinvented through the ages. From your mobile or your computer, go behind the scenes of a model of 19th century banking architecture that has been transformed to keep pace with the evolution of BNP Paribas.

A monumental building, representative of the 19th century banking architecture

The Bergère Hotel, was built between 1878 and 1881 by the architect Edouard-Jules Corroyer, who was responsible for the restoration of Mont Saint-Michel. It is emblematic of 19th century banking architecture and was originally designed to be the headquarters of the Comptoir National d’Escompte de Paris (CNEP), a forerunner of BNP Paribas. It was then gradually transformed to better meet the successive challenges of the bank. This true architectural gem was classified as a historical monument in 1991 and was entirely renovated to HQE standards between 2007 and 2009.
