BNP, on your street corner and around the world (Sydney)
The BNP inherited the foreign networks of its two forerunners, the Comptoir National d’Escompte de Paris (CNEP) and the Banque Nationale pour le Commerce et l’Industrie (BNCI), which makes it the most international French bank. This poster, illustrated with a photo of Sydney Bay, refers to the bank’s presence in Oceania. The Sydney branch was founded in 1881 by the Comptoir National d’Escompte de Paris.
BNP wants to show that after 10 years of existence it has climbed into the top tier of world bank. Its strength lies in its presence in metropolitan France and internationally.
